Wedding Photography FAQ
I completely understand that this is an important investment and I want you to feel 100% comfortable with your decision to hire me. So please feel free to read through my frequently asked questions and see if they can help clarify the process.

What is your photography style?
As a visual storyteller, it's difficult to narrow down my style to one specific type. I absolutely love shooting outdoors because natural light is always flattering. I also enjoying capturing the candid moments a couple will share between just the two of them. Still awkward poses are not my thing. I do my best to make couples feel comfortable in front of the camera which is why I choose to direct over posing.
How much will it cost to book you for our wedding?
Weddings start at $3,000. Elopements start at $750. Please inquire for more details.
How do we book you for our wedding day?
After you contact me with your info and we talk about all of the details of your day, I will have a contract ready for you to sign electronically. As soon as I receive your completed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer, your wedding date is reserved!
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept payments made with cash, check, debit card or credit card.
If we cancel, is our retainer refundable?
Once the contract is signed and I have received your retainer, all monies paid are non-refundable. Since the day is blocked off just for you, any other couple inquiring about your date will be turned away.
Who is your second shooter?
My hubby Byron has been my second shooter since I started photographing weddings 5 years ago so he knows exactly how I like to work and what photos I expect.
Do you travel?
YES! Whether it's in Colorado or across the country, I'd love to talk to you more about your big day! If you’re bringing me to you, I require accommodation for round-trip plane ticket(s), transportation and stay. I book my own flights.
If your wedding takes places less than 25 miles from Denver, CO no fees will need to be applied.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. I have liability insurance through Mercer.
How will we receive our photos?
Once the photos are ready, I will send you a link to an online gallery where you can easily download and share them.
Do we get the originals?
All of the photos you will receive are finely tuned and edited by me. That's what you hired me for!
How many photos will we receive?
The amount of photos depends on the length of time you have hired me for. On average, I deliver 500-700 photos. I don't keep any photos from my couples that they deserve to have.
How long after the wedding will we receive our photos?
Please allow at least 8 - 12 weeks.
Do we have to order prints and products through you?
I highly recommend ordering prints and products through me but it is not required. Each package includes printing rights. However, the difference in quality is very noticeable when ordering prints through a local lab versus ordering through the professional lab I use. My lab keeps true to color where as others can’t be guaranteed.
Can we order albums through you?
Yes, I work with a fantastic, high-end album company that delivers beautiful albums. Prices vary.
Couples Photography FAQ
Whether you are considering taking engagement photos or just wanting to capture the two of you doing your thing, there's a lot of thought that goes into planning a couples session. You'll find some frequently asked questions related to those types of sessions.

How much does a session cost?
Sessions are $450. Please inquire for full details.
How do we book you for our session?
A signed contract and 50% deposit is required in order to book your session. The remaining 50% will be due 2 days prior to your session date.
Where should we take our photos?
I try to make things unique for couples so I normally recommend thinking of a place that is special to you or a location that will help bring out your natural awesomeness.
If you’re from out of town, I’m always more than happy to make recommendations based on what type of location you are looking for.
Are there any extra fees?
Travel is included within 50 miles round-trip of Denver, CO. Additional travel fees include $0.50/mile outside of that radius. If you’re bringing me to you, I require accommodation for round-trip plane ticket(s), transportation and stay. I book my own flights.
National parks usually require an entry fee and sometimes require a photography permit. If we decide to do your session in a national park, those fees will be added onto the base price of the session.
How long will it take to receive the photos?
The turnaround time is typically 2-3 weeks after your session takes place.
