Hey you!

Growing up, I didn't plan on becoming a photographer. In fact, I went into college not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. Nothing ever seemed to spark my interest....until I picked up my camera (that I always brought everywhere with me) and realized this was something I needed to persue. After investing in my first DSLR, I started playing around with different types of photography. Then in 2014 I got asked to shoot my first wedding for $100 and that was it - I was hooked.

Although I spent most of my life in Florida, I knew my heart belonged elsewhere. I craved adventure and wanted to live somewhere I could spend a lot of my days exploring the outdoors. Which is why I'm not surprised that I wanted to move to Denver less than 12 hours into my first visit. Without a doubt, my hubby Byron and I are living our best lives out here in the mid-west. One great part of living in Colorado is that we're so close to so many other beauftiful places. Which is why I think my love for travel has grown over the years.

When I'm not working on what I love, you can usually find me exploring the mountains, going to hockey games (or baseball games depending on the season!), spending time with my friends, trying out as many yummy restaurants as possible, "taste testing" all the wine, couch surfing with Byron + our pup or hanging out at a coffee shop.

We met while working at a restaurant together in Orlando back in 2011. Although timing wasn't on our side at first, we eventually came to our senses and realized how much we meant to each other...so he moved in with me on day 1 of us dating.

Getting married to the love of my life was the easiest thing I could've done. In fact, after I proposed to him in our kitchen - we wasted no time. That same week we went to the courthouse and eloped. Just the two of us. It was perfect.

He's the silliest, weirdest, most loving person and I'm beyond lucky to call him my husband. Together we get down on a whole lot of tacos, have our own embarrassing karaoke singing parties, get rowdy at hockey games (go Avs!), make a copious amount of inappropriate jokes and drink lots of good beer (because hellooooo it's Colorado!)

NOT ONLY IS HE MY FOREVER P.I.C. -

HE'S ALSO MY DESIGNATED 2ND SHOOTER

As soon as Byron and I moved into our first apartment together, we knew we wanted to get a dog. The first moment I laid eyes on Oliver's sweet face, I was in love. Cavaliers are usually super chill (believe me, Oliver is a professional couch potato) but he's got this wild side and he absolutely LOVES going with us for hikes. Whenever we get the chance to bring him out with us, we make sure he's right there by our side. I really feel like Oliver has strengthened my relationship with Byron over the years. Teaching us to care for another life other than our own. He may not be our own flesh and blood but he might as well be our little boy.

And he's actually a big part of why I got into photography in the first place.....I probably have a million and one photos of him between my phones and hard drives. He was my first official "model" when I bought my DSLR. He's only gotten more talented in front of my camera over the years.
